Built for Ohio weather
Central Ohio swings from 95°F humidity in July to ice storms in February, and cheap permanent systems fail at the connectors long before the diodes do. We install sealed, gasketed runs on dedicated GFCI circuits, with drip loops at every transition and channel fastened into fascia rather than shingles.
Controllers are mounted inside the garage or a conditioned space, never left baking on an exterior wall — which is the single most common failure point we get called out to replace on systems other companies installed.
HOA considerations
Communities in Dublin, New Albany and Powell often restrict permanent exterior fixtures and display timing. Before we quote, we review your covenants and, where needed, prepare the elevation drawings your architectural review committee asks for. If a community will not approve permanent channel, we will tell you and quote seasonal instead.

- What is permanent trim lighting?
- Individually addressable RGBW LEDs seated in a slim aluminum channel that is mounted under your roofline or fascia. The channel is color-matched to your trim so it disappears in daylight, and the lights are controlled from an app for any color, pattern or schedule year round.
- How much does permanent holiday lighting cost in Central Ohio?
- Expect $4,500 to $18,000 or more as a one-time investment, driven almost entirely by linear feet and elevation height. A single-story ranch with 120 feet of front trim sits near the bottom of that range; a large multi-gable estate with wraparound coverage sits near the top.
- Is it worth it compared to seasonal installation?
- It pays off if you plan to stay in the home and want lighting for more than Christmas. If you only want a classic C9 Christmas display, seasonal installation costs far less up front and gives a warmer, larger-bulb look from the street.
- Will it look tacky in the summer?
- Not when installed correctly. The track hides in the shadow line under the roof edge and the diffuser faces down, so from the curb in daylight you see trim, not lights. Most owners run subtle warm white at low brightness the rest of the year.
- Does it come with a warranty?
- Yes — the LED runs, channel and controller carry a manufacturer warranty, and we handle warranty service and any control or wiring issues locally rather than sending you to a call center.
- Can I do permanent lighting and still get C9 bulbs at Christmas?
- Plenty of clients do exactly that: permanent trim handles the roofline year round, and we add wrapped trees, wreaths and garland seasonally on top of it.
